I am a geologist/palaeontologist and particularly interested in fundamental transformations (i.e. mass extinctions, recovery episodes, radiations, and ecological innovation) in the history of life and their impact on the earth system. During my Master and PhD projects, I analysed bivalves, trace fossils, gastropods and some brachiopods. Although not my primary research focus, I became quite familiar with analysing sedimentary sequences, interpreting palaeo-environments, and using some stratigraphic methods.
This page is intended to serve as an independent resource about me and my work apart from institutional websites, which may change instantly these days. It provides an overview on the projects I work(ed) on as well as all related publications.
Currently, I am working as a postdoc at the Museum für Naturkunde, Berlin/Germany funded by the DFG (German Research Foundation).
